“small claims” is two-part performance explores the justice system through a speculative lens, examining the performative language and behaviors within institutional structures while blurring the boundary between fiction and reality.
The first performance takes place in the gallery on April 17, 2026, staging what the artist imagines will happen during the small claims court hearing.
The second part takes place in the Kings County Court on April 28, 2026, where the artist’s actual hearing occurs.
It is presented as part of the 2026 MFA Fine Arts Thesis Show at Parsons School of Design.
